Transferring a domain to nameyarn

Before you start

Make sure your domain is eligible for transfer:

• It's been registered (or last transferred) for at least 60 days.
• Transfer lock is turned off at your current registrar.
• You have the auth code (also called an EPP code) from your current registrar.

Starting the transfer

1. Go to Transfer a domain and enter the domain name.
2. Paste in the auth code when prompted.
3. Complete checkout — transfers are billed like a one-year renewal and add a year to your registration. The renewal price you see at checkout is locked for the life of the domain.

What happens next

We email a confirmation link to the registrant contact on file. Once you approve it, the transfer is submitted to the registry. Most transfers complete within five to seven days, though some registries process them faster.

Status flow: pending confirmation -> submitted -> completed

If the transfer doesn't complete in time, it's cancelled automatically and nothing is charged beyond the initial order.
